What to do with my life?

At some point when you were a child you knew what you wanted to be when you grew up. You played for hours doing things that you loved. Now you are all grown up and life is not quite the same. You have some unanswered questions:

WHAT TO DO WITH MY LIFE? WHAT IS MY PASSION? WHY AM I NOT FULFILLED? HOW DO I FIND MY DREAM JOB?

Well I am here to tell you that those things that you wanted as a child REALLY are the key to your dreams and is the most important starting place to finding the answers to these questions.

If you have some of these or similar questions then you are in the right place. You may feel you want more, or you have come to realize that you should be doing something else with your life but you are not quite sure what. Maybe you have an inkling about what you want but you lack the tools or strategies you need to move forward.

Taking some time to  investigate your childhood activities and past times will give you access to the things that you are passionate about. We never actually lose these passions, we just get off course.

Read here about some people  that have followed their passions as a child and now have the career - and life - of their dreams.

What is your story?

Write your story of who you want to be exactly as you see it. Don't leave anything out.

Where you are, what surrounds you and see yourself right there doing IT. Don't worry if it sounds silly, or you can't quite give it a title; like doctor or teacher or plumber. Just write
what's on your mind, what love and what you love to do.

If you are struggling with it then start by writing 5 things you love to do.

I love to . . .

Ask yourself why you like to do them and how it makes you feel.

Now see if you can write your story from this.

Please post your story as a comment to this post.

Need help with this then email me info@lifecoachrocks.com

Passion of a 3rd grader

I subscribe to a daily email that I receive from InspireMeToday.com This website has posts from people all over the world which are called Inspirational Luminaries. Gail Goodwin is the founder of this website and she says that she created this site as "I have always been a seeker of information, especially that of a spiritual or motivational nature."

This morning I opened up my emails and as usual there was my email from InspireMeToday. Sometimes I do not read them but today I noticed that the name of this luminary was Zack!! I clicked on the link and I read a story about Zack who was in 3rd grade. He decided to act on an impulse, a gut instinct (what I call inspired action) to follow something that he felt strongly about. I will not go into the whole story here suffice to say that it is well worth reading. I have included a link to the story at the end of my post.

I followed my intuition and took some inspired action by deciding to write about the email I received since what Zack had done in his life speaks right at the heart of what I am about - looking to our childhood passions (the things we loved to do when we were kids) and then using those in the life that we lead now as adults.

I invite you to read his story and then ask yourself"

1) What did I feel strongly about when I was growing up?
2) What inspired action did I take?
3) In my life today how can I find that same inspiration?

Pleased post a comment and let me know your comments. If you prefer you can email me directly info@lifecoachrocks.com

LifeCoach

Life coach rocks is back again.

I have just finished reading Scott Whittig's book called HOLY IT. It was a short, concise and easy read. He covered some very interesting topics related to finding and creating your IT in life. I love the way he shared his own personal experiences about some of the struggles he had to overcome in order to create his IT and finally bring the book to fruition.

As I was reading though I noticed that I was still struggling to discover my  IT. To this end I was still out on a limb. I then began thinking about all the terrific books I had read that talk about passion, purpose, and a dream life -  finding it and living it. The finding it part had still eluded me somewhat. I was stuck on how do I discover what my IT is? I hadn't found any good method that I could use to begin to create my IT.

Now I know about meditating, writing down my desires, creating possibilities, using a dream board, allowing the space to just "be" in order to open up . . . I think you know where I am going with this. There are some really great tips and methods that you can use that will give you a peek into living an inspired life.

BUT here's what I keep coming back to . . . HOW DO I FIND WHAT IT IS? How do I wade through some of the mental anguish to find what it is that I really want to do with my life; what my passions are and how I can bundle these into something called a career.
